Sinisa Matic was born in 1973 in Prijedor, Bosnia & Herzegovina. As a youth he was often seen playing with a soccer ball and developing skills on the pitch. Ultimately he made the ball my best friend!

He joined the youth programs in the 3rd Former Yugoslavia Division to further my development. At 17, he was offered his first professional contract for FK-RUDAR that played in the 2nd Former Yugoslavia League.
 

In 1992 he joined 3rd Division SC Norderstedt in Germany and reached qualifiers for 2nd Bundesliga. Playing in Germany from 1992 – 1997 he gained the experience and understanding of the multi-faceted aspects of soccer.
 

In 1997 he immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta where he quickly fell in love with the culture, people and country and started playing with the Viktoria Soccer.
